Shelter Island:
EDI was contacted by Cummins & Associates in 2013 about the possibility of moving a 36” Quercus alba (white oak). The tree was on Shelter Island, off the coast of Long Island, New York with access restricted to ferry boats. After an assessment and root pruning phase, EDI mobilized our newly-patented Arborlift™ system. The owners wanted the tree moved closer to their vacation home to provide privacy, as well as to make room for a tennis court. The tree was raised and transplanted a few hundred feet in February 2014, and continues to thrive today.
