San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo, home to the largest Strangler Fig (Ficus watkinsiana) in the U.S., wanted to use the tree to create a unique entrance to the new Monkey Trails and Forest Tales habitat. Environmental Design was asked to not only move the tree to a new location horizontally, but also to lower the tree 30' to allow visitors to experience the primate exhibit from an elevated walkway in the tree canopy.
Beau Rivage Resort
Procurement, transport, and installation of 22 Live Oaks for the grand entrance of the new Beau Rivage Casino. Each tree was located and harvested in the surrounding area to meet the project size requirements (30' tall with a 30' spread and a 24" trunk caliper).
The Cloister
Project to build a new resort hotel while maintaining the charm of the original, including a surrounding forest of mature Live Oaks.
Hershey Park
As the projects in place for the updating of attractions at Hershey Park proceed, Environmental Design, Inc., the recognized leader in tree transplantation and preservation, will play a significant role in the harvesting and relocation of trees throughout the park complex.
