9/11 Memorial Grove
Environmental Design has been awarded the tree services contract for the Word Trade Center Memorial grove. The design calls for the delivery of 437 custom-grown mature trees in time for the memorial's scheduled opening in Fall, 2009.

Nasher Sculpture Center
The Nasher Sculpture Center is a publicly and privately funded art exhibit built in downtown Dallas, Texas to showcase Mr. & Mrs. Nasher's extensive sculpture collection. Peter Walker & Partners designed a garden plan calling for over 150 mature trees including Live Oaks, Cedar Elms, Crepe Myrtles, Southern Magnolias, and Willows to accent the art pieces. Environmental Design was tasked with procuring and culturing the trees 2 years prior to installation, and transplanting the trees into the busy downtown site. Some of the challenges on this project included the transplant of trees up to 18" caliper and weighing over 100,000 pounds, as well as the management of traffic and pedestrian control at the busy downtown site.

Myriad Botanical Garden
The historic Myriad Botanical Gardens, located in Downtown Oklahoma City was closed down for 1 year while undergoing a major renovation. As part of the renovation, in excess of 50 large trees were transplanted either onsite or to nearby Will Rogers Park.

AT&T Performing Arts Center
For this project, Environmental Design was tasked with sourcing and supplying 100 specimen live oaks and shumardii oaks for the AT&T Performing Arts Center buildings. The trees were located at various sources in the Southern United States. They were harvested and consolidated in two nurseries awaiting transport to the construction site. The trees were trucked in and installed during the landscape construction phase of the project. They provided an instantly mature landscape on opening day!
