Project Requirements

Environmental Design was tasked with locating, harvesting, transporting and installing 100 specimen oak trees that met the specifications of the designers. The trees required enough clear trunk to support pedestrian traffic on day one. They also needed to provide adequate shade to make the scorching Dallas summer afternoons more bearable to visitors.

Project Process

The trees were located and sourced over a 6 month timeframe and each tree was approved by the landscape architect JJR. The trees were then root pruned and harvested into 3 separate nurseries, where they are being maintained by Environmental Design until landscape installation.
