Project Requirements

When a golf course was proposed to be built on the site of an historic southern plantation, concern was raised over the fate of 8 giant Live Oaks (Quercus virginiana) ranging in size from 28" to 40" caliper. Environmental Design was contacted to propose a plan to preserve these historic trees.

Project Process

Using the Environmental Design-pioneered roundball method and our 4-point gantry lift system, we transplanted these trees to key locations on the golf course.
